This video has been prepared by MakeCNC.com as an introduction to setup and use of the Sherline CNC mill. It starts with basic out-of-the-box assembly and alignment and then covers the basics of g-code and getting started in CNC. Basic navigation of the Linux/EMC screens is covered and a simple project is cut as an example of using g-code. There is also a brief description of an alternative g-code program called Mach3 that runs under Windows. For those new to both a Sherline mill and to CNC this makes a good basic introduction to both and will get you from the shipping box to your first cuts. MakeCNC.com has also produced a video on using the CNC lathe. It is available as P/N 5340.
