This course is aimed at developers who use Visual Studio and want to learn how to extend it. There are many different ways to do so, and not all involve writing code. This course introduces macros, code snippets, a custom start page, and project and item templates. Emphasis is on the newer technologies including the VSIX format and the Visual Studio Gallery, but old techniques that still work in Visual Studio 2010 are included. These techniques do not require writing code that interacts with Visual Studio.
